Working principle of roller mixer

The working principle of a roller mill mixer is based on the relative motion of the roller and the grinding disc, combined with gravity crushing and shearing forces to achieve material crushing, mixing, and refining. Core working principle: The roller rotates on its own axis while revolving around the central axis, while the grinding disc remains stationary. After being fed into the center of the grinding disc, the material enters below the roller under the action of centrifugal force or scraper thrust, undergoing multiple crushing processes. Fine particles pass through the peripheral sieve holes, while coarse particles are repeatedly compressed until they meet the required standards. Key design elements: The equipment utilizes the synergistic effect of the gravity crushing of the roller and the rotational shearing of the mixing blades. The roller is typically made of cast iron or alloy steel, with adjustable pressure (e.g., 5-20 tons). The mixing blades are arranged in a fan shape and rotate at a relatively low speed (15-30 rpm), creating convection and diffusion mixing, thereby improving the mixing uniformity. This is especially suitable for materials with high viscosity or high hardness.
